RECAP

Against his former team, Luke Recker played the spoiler by knocking the Hoosiers out of the tournament with his second buzzer beater in as many days. The native of Auburn, Ind., drove to his right down the right-side baseline and nailed a 10-footer as time expired to give Iowa a 62-60 win. He lead all scorers with 17 points, while Reggie Evans, Pierre Pierce, and Brody Boyd scored 11, 11, and 10 points respectively. In the brutal battle, Iowa shot just 34.6% to Indiana's 39.2% for the game.

As dramatic as Recker's final shot was, two plays he made previously may have been just as crucial to the Hawkeye victory. Trailing 57-60, Recker tied the game with a 3-pointer from a step behind the line with 58 seconds remaining. Then, after four Hoosier tip-in attempts on the ensuing possession, Recker grabbed the ball as it flew out of bounds and called time out with 13.2 seconds remaining, setting up his final shot.
