Caitlin Clark scored a career-high, arena and team record 49 points, while surpassing Kelsey Plum as the NCAA all-time scoring leader (3,527). She ended with 13 assists, five rebounds and a steal. The Hawkeyes rolled through the second quarter, shooting 66.7% from three to go into halftime with a 53-41 lead. Michigan cut the lead to 10 points, but Iowa pushed it back up to 20 points to put the game away. A celebration was held for Clark after the game.

Kate Martin recorded her third 20-point game this season for the Hawkeyes. Hannah Stuelke added 13 points.
