RECAP

The rim was not helpful for Iowa on offense in the first half, shooting only 29% from the field and 2 of 12 from 3-point range (17%). They missed numerous close buckets due to the taller Boilermakers in the paint. Purdue also struggled with 1 of 7 threes, but hit 5 of 6 and went on a 15-2 run to take a commanding lead and never looked back. Bennett Stirtz didn't score until 4 minutes left in the first half, and ended the half with only 5 points.

The second half struggles continued for Iowa, falling behind by 20 points (47-27) early in the half. The Hawks gave up numerous unforced turnovers and Purdue had the Iowa defense struggling to find the open shooter. They fell behind 58-31 with under 12 minutes remaining and never made a serious run.

Stirtz led Iowa with 19 points, the only one in double-digits, and Cam Manyawu grabbed 8 rebounds.

It was the first home sellout in the Ben McCollum era.
