Kevin Gamble hit a 17-foot jump shot with four seconds left in the game to help Iowa get revenge on Ohio State. They lost their first game of the season to the Buckeyes back on January 24th. The Hawks caught a break when OSU's Jay Burson missed two free throws in the previous possession, giving the Hawks a chance to take the lead. The game featured 20 lead changes and 8 ties. Roy Marble led the Hawks with 24 points, and B.J. Armstrong added 18 points. Brad Lohaus and Gerry Wright each had 9 rebounds.
